Info for the academic world

THE HOFSTEDE CENTRE is part of a commercial organization; itim international. All we do is based on rigorous research especially undertaken by Geert Hofstede and Michael Minkov. One of the tasks of our CENTRE is to promote and coordinate research.

In order to reconcile commerce with research we offer the following, depending on who you are and who you represent:

Lecturers

National culture:

More and more the Model on differences among national cultures developed by Geert Hofstede is being integrated into courses on internationalization and cross cultural interaction in whatever form. As we have noticed that the complexity of the model is not always fully grasped, we organize one-day courses for lecturers to upgrade their know-how.
This concerns especially using national culture in combination with context and in using combinations of dimensions and their reflection in real work life.

Organizational culture:

More and more the Multi Focus Model on organizational culture and change management developed by Geert Hofstede is being integrated into courses on business development, strategy and culture and change management.
Also in this case we have noticed that this model is not always fully grasped. We therefore organize one-day courses for lecturers to upgrade their know-how.
This concerns especially the fit between strategy and culture. It will also cover organizational culture in combination with context and in using combinations of dimensions and their reflection in real work life, such as efficiency, productivity and innovation.
